What are the advantages of an STS submeter?
Allows the landlord to use a prepayment vending system (see prepayment explained)
STS (Standard Transfer Specification) allows the landlords to move vending providers and is not locked to one provider
Reduced administration and risk of abuse by tenants
Cheaper meters and faster to install
Improved cash flow as purchases from tenants are paid to the landlord
Purchase reporting is available for analysis by landlords

Can the meter be tampered with?
The meter has been designed to be resistant to tampering but tenants may devise ways to bypass the meter.
Landlords should manage their risk by monitoring usage against amounts collected and conduct site inspections where required

Can landlords set their own tarriffs?
We base our tariffs on municipal tariffs. On instruction from the landlord we can change tariff to an alternative municipal tariff. Tariffs are regulated by NURSA and landlords should ensure they are in compliance.
